Capturing the special moments of our couples and bringing out their stories through memorable images is our passion and something that keeps us going. We love it when all those lovely couples book us and share their love stories with us to help us connect with them and their big day better. This is what we focus on when documenting their special day, and that’s exactly what we did for Karen and John when it was their turn to exchange vows. Our beautiful couple got married at the historic Windsor Guildhall registry office and had their reception at the grand Castle Hotel, which is right next door to the registry office. It was a sweet intimate wedding full of love and fun moments. From tastefully decorated indoors to spectacular outdoors, we got gorgeous backdrops all around to photograph our couple and their guests. We loved every bit of this wonderful celebration in Windsor and created wedding portraits just as we had envisioned them – romantic, elegant and classy!
Windsor Guildhall & Castle Hotel Wedding Photography
For the wedding, our handsome groom, John, wore a navy blue suit with brown shoes and our bride, Karen, looked ravishing in a knee-length stunning lacy cocktail dress. The bridal dress was so unusual and unique and nothing like what we had seen a bride don before. It was a little different from the kinds of wedding dresses we photograph most of the time. Karen looked so refreshingly stylish and gorgeous in that dress, her lovely jewellery and a classy hairdo adorned with accessories beautifully complementing her look. With the bride and groom looking so stunning, there was no way we could miss taking their solo portraits and capturing their amazing look for the day, which deserved all the spotlight.
The Windsor Guildhall provided us with a truly unique setting in the heart of the vibrant Windsor town for our couple’s wedding day. It’s a stunning private venue popular among couples planning for smaller and intimate weddings, although it can seat up to 100 guests. Flooded with natural light, the magnificent Council Chamber at the Windsor Guildhall was an ideal backdrop for the ceremony. From the royal portraits of the last five centuries to the glittering chandeliers on loan from Her Majesty The Queen, the Chamber was truly exquisite.
We created some striking wedding portraits inside of the Windsor Guildhall, and the confetti moment as our couple walked out of the imposing red doors of the Guildhall was just magical! It was a really fun moment that created fantastic imagery. As it was only an intimate wedding with a couple of dozen guests, it gave me (Stephanie) more time and opportunity to convey my ideas and create lovely portraits of small groups as well as the big ones.
Our bride, Karen, loves Windsor and all the iconic areas in the town, so we had to have the Windsor Castle in the background of the group photographs. However, we realised that there were lots of tourists in the background, and we spent hours removing some of the main public members who were so interested in what was going on! Hahaha… but it was so much fun and resulted in some really impressive portraits.
Our favourite part of the day was having the freedom to visit around the tourist town of Windsor to create some portraits of the bride and groom. We visited the Windsor Castle arched gate, the back alley cobbled streets, the strong black doors of the back of the castle and had some fun with the floral arrangements outside the hotel door. The door made for a perfect frame and we got lovely solo portraits of our bride and groom as well as their photos together. We loved that our couple was super relaxed (which also kept our spirits high), resulting in much laughter in all of the photos. Woah! What a great day it was.
