Oakley Court Hotel Windsor Wedding Photographer
Manoj and Sandeep’s wedding was a celebration of 2 families coming together and committing their vows in front of their favourite people. As photographers, we witness these moments through our lens and see those little nuances, subtle glances, squeezes of hands; that the guests may not see.
That’s why we love photographing weddings. It’s capturing memories for a lifetime and the personalities of all involved.
The wedding was set at the beautiful Oakley Court; an imposing Victorian manor overlooking the River Thames, is fit for every celebration. The day was full of laughter, love and a few quiet moments of reflection as we walked along the river with the couple. It’s these quiet moments within moments that we love to capture – the chance to breath after dinner and be together with a celebratory glass of champagne and talk about what happened that day – we are married!
Manoj and Sandeep gave their guests a surprise as they changed wedding outfit after dinner and before the evening reception. San wore the most beautiful pink and floral gown to the wedding ceremony, which fitted beautifully in the natural design of the orangery in Oakley. She changed into a stunning white gown for the evening reception and a stunning black tie formal suit for Manoj.
If you are thinking about having a change of outfit for your wedding day, consider these 3 times when you could change your outfit:
1 – After the ceremony and formal photographs (before dinner): If you have a ball gown fitting dress, then we have seen brides take off the full skirt if it’s a 2 part dress and get a little more comfortable before dinner. We would encourage our couples to stay in their day outfits for the golden light / sunset portraits after the meal and then get changed in scenario number 2…
2 – After dinner: This is the most popular time to get changed as most venues have that lull after dinner whilst the wedding team turn your room around. From experience, you can have up to 2 hours until the music starts, so this is the perfect time to freshen up, change your hair or make up and get into wedding outfit number 2!
3 – Part way through dancing: Maybe you are having a live band for the first part of your reception, then moving onto a DJ for old school tunes! This is a great opportunity to get changed into your party outfits and burn up the dance floor!
It was a privilege to get to know Manoj and Sandeep on their wedding journey. We stayed in touch throughout and walked the path with them; it made for a really strong relationship on the day of the wedding and we thank them for it.
