Kimberley & Samuel’s Frimley Hall Wedding
Weddings are such amazing and interesting events. There is so much going on in each corner of the venue with the couple, their guests, the venue staff and other vendors doing their thing and giving their best to make the day so special. In between wedding activities, arrangements and executing all the planned events, there is so much fun going on and so many beautiful memories in the making. Kimberley and Samuel’s wedding was no different. Everyone present had a great time and enjoyed every bit of this celebration. The wedding venue, Frimley Hall Hotel, added to the excitement of this day, with all the gorgeous backdrops it provided us with for the images. The venue has stunning landscaped gardens and an ornate oak wood staircase. The stairway at the entrance against which we photographed our couple was equally imposing. The property is a Victorian manor house with a beautiful fireplace and ideal settings for our couple’s wedding photos. The bonus? We are recommended in-house photographers at this venue.

On their big day, our bride and groom had fun with their wedding guests that included 7 pregnant friends and a super fun-loving uncle! There were 4 bridesmaids, 1 best man and 3 ushers in total. Our groom Samuel’s brothers were a great help at organising the groups for photos. Evee and Danielle, the wedding coordinators were incredible supports too.
Our couple’s two-year-old daughter was also present and gosh! What a cutie she was! We got some adorable images of the little one running around and having fun on her parents’ big day. We also clicked her with her parents as she danced with them at the reception. It was so heartwarming. Other highlights of the day were the singing before the dinner, the saxophone and the guitar player getting the crowd going, the flower girls dancing and our bride gifting the groom a silver lighter. The groomsmen got the same gift from the groom. Also, the floral moon arch used for the ceremony was gorgeous. It made for a perfect photo booth background throughout the day.
We loved photographing Kimberley and Samuel’s wedding right from the beginning to the end. The hairspray shot we took while our bride got ready in the most beautiful bathroom turned out to be so lovely, light and airy. Seeing the new bath taps and knowing that the shoes would look cool on them, we didn’t miss the chance and created some great bridal accessories shots right there. Soon, we found ourselves busy taking photos of the bridal party. The hilarity of the bridal portraits just had us. There was so much laughter and joy that we just loved being present there at that moment. The coloured smoke grenade images of our couple also turned out to be just breathtaking. We’re so happy that they got the flare they had envisioned for their wedding images.
Some of the other fun moments we had at this wedding as photographers were when I (Stephanie) was struggling to get a very old window opened upstairs to do a group photo but ended up styling it out so nobody noticed. Haha. Then, there was a waitress walking in front of me as I was taking a family photo that resulted in loads of laughter afterwards! The other funny incident at this wedding was when the wedding coordinator and manager came outside to take photographs of the boys in the morning and was photographing next to Steve on her phone. Soon, there was lots of banter and laughs about her being on her phone and Steve with the camera.
At the reception, the first dance was beautiful! Slow and romantic. The couple also got their little girl to join in. That was so sweet. Then, they moved into their second dance, which was Candy by Cameo. It got everyone on the dance floor! It was the bride’s favourite song. Our couple’s friends loved it and knew the moves to the dance. It was so great to see everyone enjoying and celebrating our couple’s union in style. The theme for Kimberley and Samuel’s wedding was centred around autumn and the tables and stationery were all in sync. The mini pumpkins on dinner tables and orange lights inside them to give the wedding that autumn feel were a fantastic idea. All the other decor was also top-notch. The speeches were just wonderful! The father of the bride got the crowd going and the groom and best man speeches were amazing too. Also, we have to mention that toastmaster Noel was on hand all day and a joy to work with.
